METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SORTING AND CARRYING PLATE MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To provide a plate material sorting/carrying device for safely carrying a plate material which is not proper for vacuum suction and magnetic force attraction and for detecting, in advance, a plate material with a nonstandard thickness mixed among loaded plate materials. ;CONSTITUTION: In a carrying operation for taking out loaded plate materials from the top in order, a plate thickness is measured by a sensor 15 for detecting the position on the upper surface of the plate material, carrying operation is automatically stopped when a plate material with a nonstandard thickness is detected, and a plate material with a standard thickness is pinched by left and right nibs 20 and 20' of a clamp device, and the plate material is subjected to buckling in an upward convex shape, is supported at three points by the left and right nibs and a stopper 18 provided on the lower surface of the clamp device to safely carry the plate material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
