METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY FEEDING LONG BODY AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always keep a jointed condition between the leading and trailing ends of a long body constant for prevention of the occurrence of an inferior jointed part by feeding a plurality of roll-shaped long bodies, which are retained at a plurality of shafts 3 coaxially on a rotating disc, while connecting them in order from the long bodies. ;SOLUTION: A plurality of shafts 3 are mounted coaxially on a rotating disc 1, and a long body 2 of roll shape retained at the shaft 3 positioned at the lower side is guided by a plurality of guide rolls 5 and is fed to the next packing process and so on. When it is confirmed visually or by a sensor that all the long bodies 2 of roll shape are worn and the trailing end part of the long body is delivered, a feed line is stopped temporarily. The leading end part delivered from the long part 2 of roll shape is pressed against the trailing end of the long body 2 of roll shape of the lower shaft 3 to be jointed by a vacuum chuck 7 together with a double-sided adhesive tape 8, and feed line operation is restarted.
