PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a penetrameter for radiation transmittance tests which can photograph the whole circumference of a tube at a mounting position of a photographing device simply by opening and closing a shield of the photographing device once, and a radiation transmittance test method using the penetrameter. ;SOLUTION: This penetrameter is provided at leas with a flexible sheet 2 to be in touch with an outer face of a joint part of a pipe and wires 3 on the flexible sheet 2. The flexible sheet 2 ca be wound around the whole outer circumference of the joint part once, with boundary marks 5 indicated correspondingly to boundary parts of adjacent effective photographing areas in the circumferential direction of the pipe. The boundary marks 5 can be photographed. The wires 3 are arranged in the vicinity of the boundary marks 5. At least one wire 3 is arranged on an extension line of the boundary mark 5 to be orthogonal to the circumferential direction. Moreover, at leas two wires 3 are arranged right and left in the vicinity of the one wire 3 to be parallel to each other.
