PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contact between a fork of a forklift truck and a landing sill by providing the landing floor removably with a protective body with a protruding part protruded from the landing floor face of a cargo elevator. ;SOLUTION: A protective body 6 slightly shorter than the space of a three- way frame erected at a doorway parallelly with a sill is disposed at a landing 1. A base 7 made of a steel plate is disposed at a part, lower by the specified dimension than the landing floor 1, using an anchor bolt 7A, and the protective body 6 with a protruding part 6a integrally formed in the state of protruding from the upper face of the sill 4 and the landing floor face is removably mounted by fasteners 8, 8a. After adjusting the top of the protruding part 6a of circular arc shape cross section to the height of 5mm above from the floor face, the landing floor 1 is finished using mortar. At the time of a forklift truck carrying out cargo on a pallet from a car, an operator lowers a fork to the lowest part to approach the car, and the tip part of the fork comes in contact with the protective body 6. Since the protective body 6 is inclined upward, the tip part of the fork is pushed upward so as to be prevented from coming in contact with the sill.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
