PLANAR AND NONPLANAR TYPES DOUBLE C-PATCH ANTENNA WITH DIFFERENT APERTURE PORTION SHAPES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the small sized double C-patch antenna with high performance. SOLUTION: Each of short-circuit double C-patch antennas 50, 56 has a small ground plate, a dielectric material layer having a 2nd surface opposed to a 1st surface facing the ground plate, and a conductor layer coating the 2nd surface of the dielectric layer. The conductor layer has non-rectangular (e.g. parabolic, triangle, pentagonal) openings 52a, 52b, 58 each forming a radiation patch and having a length extended along a 1st side of the conductor layer and a width extended toward a 2nd side located with opposition. The length is about 20 to 35% of the length of the 1st side. The antenna has a conductive path, that is, a feeding path to short-circuit the conductor layer to the ground plate at a region adjacent to a 3rd side of the conductor layer. The antenna may be curved around one or over axes.
