PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the spread spectrum communication equipment in which a self-convolution signal is suppressed, fluctuation in a peak waveform/level of a convolution signal is suppressed and a peak of the convolution signal is easily detected. SOLUTION: A surface acoustic wave convolver 11 applies convolution arithmetic operation to a reception signal and a reference signal and a peak detector 19 detects a large peak output obtained when the spread code and the reference code are coincident. An output of the convolver 11 includes a self-convolution signal being an interference signal and in order to suppress the self-convolution signal, a signal from a reference code correlation waveform pattern generator 20 and a double frequency signal of the received signal carrier frequency from the oscillator 21 are multiplied by a mixer 22 and a 180 deg. phase shifter 23 receiving the product generates a signal of an opposite phase to that of the self- convolution signal. Thus, the peak of the convolution signal is facilitated.
