PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the card transporting mechanism for an operation recorder so that it has a high quality to be adaptive to environment, it can take the handling condition into consideration, and it can be mass-produced at a low cost by loosely inserting a data card into the trimming part of a carriage. ;SOLUTION: The carriage 12 constituted as a flat drawing and provided with an engaging means is provided in order to transport the data card between a throw-in/taking-out position and a reading/recording position. The carriage 12 forms nearly a flat plate where the trimming part 18 suited to the dimension of the data card to use is formed. The data card can loosely be inserted into the trimming part 18 of this carriage 12. Then, the guiding means of the carriage 12 is indirectly fixed to the casing bottom part of the pertinent machine by fixing a printed wiring board arranging a contact spring set subordinated to the data card.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
