APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING LENGTH OF COMPOSITE TYPE HARD ANESTHETIC/BACK ANESTHETIC NEEDLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting device which enables monitoring of inserting and drawing off of a spinal anesthesia needle easily and correctly. SOLUTION: This adjusting device 10 includes slide members 32 and 51 on which epidural and spinal anesthesia needles 14 and 12 are separately inserted, in a concentric pair. The spring member 60 to engage with the spinal anesthesia needle 12 is equipped on the device. One end of the spring member is fixed to the slide member 32 fixing the epidural anesthesia needle, and the other end is free so as to be operated by a user. Between the free end and the fixed end, at least one path or hole in which the spinal anesthesia needle is penetrating is equipped. When a treatment attendant actuates the spring member, the hole engages the spinal anesthesia needle or allows to slide. The treatment attendant can control the movement of the slide member in the axis line direction and can thereby adjust the extending length of the spinal anesthesia needle against the epidural anesthesia needle.
