PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a fuel consumption amount by a method wherein a plurality of constant rotation induction cage type propulsion electric motor are provided to be drive by the generation AC power of a diesel AC generator and the output shaft of the propulsion electric motor and a pusher propeller shaft are interlinked through a number of revolution switching reduction gear and a twin-radar device is disposed. ;SOLUTION: An AC generator 2 is coupled directly to each of a plurality of diesel engines 1 and by the generating power of the AC generator 2, propulsion electric motors 4 and 5 driven through a starter 3 are provided. A number of revolutions switching reduction gear 8 is arranged between the propulsion electric motors 4 and 5 and the propeller shaft 7 of a pusher propeller 6. A port rudder 31 and a starboard rudder 31 are laterally symmetrically arranged in the rear of the pusher propeller 6, the profiles of the horizontal sections of the rudders 31 are formed in a streamline shape and are a shape wherein a recessed surface is formed in the rear end part of the side of an outer broadside. Through combination of the rotation angle positions of the rudders 31, deceleration, reversing, forward right and left turns, reversing right and left turns, hovering, and spinning of a ship are practicable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
