PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stranding efficiency of optical fiber tape by stranding optical fiber tape without applying load such as vertical and horizontal bends to the tapes even when a stranding speed is increased by reducing the dropping angle of the tapes to ≤15° in the case of storing and stranding tape in a slot on the tip of a cylindrical part of a guide pipe. ;SOLUTION: The jig is constituted so as to fix guide pipes 12 allowed to follow up and move along an SZ slot forming direction at a strand port and capable of guiding and inserting plural optical fiber tapes 19A to 19F into a slot 2 in an SZ slot rod 1 continuously supplied to a traveling line at a fixed speed while periodically repeating inversion at the same angle in the forward and revese directions in accordance with the inversion angle of the slot 2 to a jig body 11. In this case, the guide pipes 12 are constituted of soft synthetic resin having flexibility, the inserting angles of the pipes 12 to the center axis of the rod 1 are set up to a range of 5 to 15° and the tips of the pipes 12 are inserted into the slot 2 by prescribed length along the slot 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
