METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ISSUING ALARM OF CONFRONTING VEHICLE TO VEHICLE TURNING TO RIGHT AT CROSSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with which the existence of a straight advancing vehicle along a confronting lane is exactly warned to the driver of a vehicle turning to right at a crossing. ;SOLUTION: When the traffic signal at the crossing becomes 'green' or 'yellow', the vehicle traveled just before the crossing is detected by obstacle sensors 3 and 4 installed with a prescribed interval in front of the crossing and based on this detected result, a CPU 5 calculates the traveling speed. When it is the prescribed speed, a prescribed synchronizing signal is transmitted from a transmitter 6 by radio, so as to turn an alarm receiver loaded on the vehicle turning to right at the crossing to the state of receiving an alarm signal and so as to next transmit the alarm signal by radio. Then, relating to the vehicle loading the alarm receiver, a radio receiver is turned to the alarm receiving state, the alarm signal is demodulated and the driver is made to recognize the existence of vehicle advancing straight on the side of the confronting lane.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
