CONNECTION BODY OF CATAMARAN TYPE BARGE AND CATAMARAN TYPE PUSHER BOAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection body of a catamaran type barge and a catamaran type pusher boat so as to obtain large deck area and high speed performance. ;SOLUTION: Stern parts 4, 4 of both single barrels 2, 2 on the right and left of a catamaran type barge 1 are extended rearward by exceeding a rear end 5 of a connection deck 3 which connects the single barrels 2, 2' abov sea surface, and a single recessed part 7 is formed between the single barrels 2 and 2' over inner plates 6, 6' which face the inside of the stern extended parts 4, 4' and the rear end 5 of the connection deck 3 so that the inner plates 6, 6' function as both side walls on the right and left of the recessed part 7. On the other hand, a bow part 19 of a double- barrel type push boat 1 having both single barrels 12, 12" on the right and left which are connected above sea surface by the connection deck 3 is fitted in the recessed part 7 by leaving a clearance between outer plates 18, 18' which face the outside of the single barrels 12, 12" and both side walls of the recessed part 7, respectively. The catamaran type push boat 11 and the catamaran type barge 1 are connected in such a manner that they can be separated in a condition in which the bow part 19 at the catamaran type pusher boat 11 is inserted into the recessed part 7 of the catamaran type barge 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
