PURPOSE: To eliminate the flocculated lumps of a coating material generated in a die nozzle which is the main cause for the formation of coating stripes and to prevent the formation of the coating stripes by providing the die nozzle to be used at the time of forming a coating film by a die coating system with a vibrating means. ;CONSTITUTION: A vibrator 9 as the vibrating means is mounted at the lip part of the die nozzle 5 which is used for coating of a magnetic tape and is provided with a downstream side lip 1, an upstream side lip, a manifold 3 and a slit 4. At this time, the frequency of the vibration is set in a range of ≥20Hz to ≤50kHz. As a result, the formation of the flocculated lumps of the coating material generated in the smother which is the main cause for the formation of the coating stripes is eliminated and the formation of coating stripes is obviated. The smoother is preferably used in order to smooth the coating surface of the coating material before drying of coating material applied on a base body.
