PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition effective in reduction of physical and mental fatigues, stresses, etc., an improvement and recovery from the infirm physical constitution by using a specific tonic and aphrodisiac medicine known in the basin of the Amazon and a crude drug known as a sedative and antitussive agent in China in combination. ;SOLUTION: This composition comprises Muirapuama and Cordyceps sinensis Sacc. The composition is capable of more enhancing functions, possessed by the Muirapuama and effectively acting on a state of deteriorated physical strength due to a stress, etc., by the Cordyceps sinensis Sacc. without any adverse effects even by administration thereof for a long period. An original plant of the Muirapuama is a bush of the family Olacaceae growing in the basin of the Amazon in Brazil and a Ptychopetalum olacoides species, etc., are especially preferred. The Cordyceps sinensis Sacc. is a larva of an insect which is preferably a stroma of the genus Cordyceps of the family Clavicipitaceae or its parasite. The Muirapuama can be used as an extract and the daily dose thereof for an adult is about 10-5000mg expressed in terms of the amount of the raw crude drug.
