ASEISMIC BASE ISOLATION COUPLING DEVICE OF IMMERSED TUBE JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aseismic base isolation coupling device of an immersed tube joint capable of sufficiently absorbing tensile force as well as compressive force against horizontal force operated when an earthquake occurs. SOLUTION: PC cables 3 of an immersed tube joint constituted of a rubber gasket 2 provided to the joint end face between immersed tube 1 and 1 to be settled and the PC cables 3 for connecting between the immersed tube 1 and 1 are fixed to both ends of the immersed tube 1 and 1 through elastic bodies 11 having the approximately same elastic characteristic as that of the rubber gasket 2. Stoppers 12 for preventing the elastic bodies 11 from reaching elastic limit are provided to the fixed ends.
