JUNCTION STRUCTURE FOR RECTANGULAR STEEL PIPE PILLAR AND STEEL BEAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the stabilized junction structure at a low cost by installing a reinforcing ring in the periphery of a rectangular steel pillar in the condition that the reinforcing ring is made to contact with a head of a bolt for fastening an end plate of a split tee. ;SOLUTION: End plates 2... of split tees 11, 11 are fixed to the surface of a rectangular steel pipe pillar 1 by bolts 7..., and flanges 5... of steel beams 4... are fixed to horizontal plates 3... of the split tee 11. In this structure for joining the rectangular steel pipe pillar 1 and the steel beam 4, reinforcing rings 9, 9 are installed in the periphery of the rectangular steel pipe 1 in the condition that the reinforcing rings 9, 9 are made to contact with a head of the bolt 7 of the split tee 11. This reinforcing ring 9 can be formed integrally, or divided pieces are connected by fittings so as to form the ring-shape. With this structure, rigidity of the junction structure can be improved with a simple means, and the proof stress can be sufficiently secured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
