PURPOSE: To provide a body cavity observation unit by which a doctor can easily perform visual field changing work of the observation means at a surgical operation under an endoscope and repeating work of enlarged image observation and wide angle image observation in good operability. CONSTITUTION: This body cavity observation unit is composed so that the motion of an XY stage control part can be controlled by a foot switch 33a, a visual field obtained by a TV camera unit 18 can be moved by the XY stage control part, movement of a zoom lens is controlled by a second foot switch 33b, and the visual field range of an image obtained by the TV camera unit 18 can be changed.
