PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attempt the improvement of accuracy in the construction for forming an image with requested CT cone-beam source by converting projection data to a set of radon derivatives in the case of constructing an image of an object by projecting the image of the object from the cone-beam source onto a detector plane. SOLUTION: Data representing an image of an object 10 is projected by a cone-beam x-ray source 12 onto a detector array 14 having a flat detector plane 16, and the data stating the form of the projected x-ray photons is detected by a x-ray detector in the detector array 14. In data acquiring system(DAS) 18 from the detected signal, cone-beam projection data of the form of line integral representing the image 20 projected onto the plane 16 is obtained, then the project data is converted into a set of radon derivatives by processor 22, and then values of a set of surface integrals are computed from the radon derivatives. Further, inverse radon conversion is carried out by using the value of the surface integral as input data thus reconstructing the image of the object.
