UNDERGROUND CRACK CLOSING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR CLOSING UNDERGROUND CRACK

PURPOSE: To enable an artificial crack generated in a great-depth high- temperature rock to be closed in a short time. CONSTITUTION: An underground crack closing material made from a slurry containing acid sediments of water glass and magnesium chloride, sodium hydroxide, and lithium hydroxide, i.e., raw components of hectorite, in 1 to 10wt.%, concentrations, is injected and made to flow through a crack generated in a rock. In an underground high-temperature environment, the underground crack is closed by gelling of hectorite synthesized from the raw components in the slurry.
