NUMERAL IDENTIFICATION COMPUTER SYSTEM USING METHOD FOR HIGH-SPEED NUMERAL IMAGE SORTING CORRECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the correction of erroneously read numeral by correcting mutually different numeral images in the same kind of numeral image data displayed on a screen. ;SOLUTION: This system is provided with a touch screen operation unit 1, operation unit 2, slip input unit 3, and mouse operation unit 4. Then, electronic scanning is performed on one piece of numeral data slip, these data are separated into single numeral images by a dedicated inter-numeral partitioning software, and the file of numeral image having identification is prepared. The index for each numeral totally occupies 20 bytes, and the identified result of this numeral is included in the 6th byte. The numeral image data are sorted into ten types. After feature extraction, according to the identified result, the correspondent numeral image data are collected into the type to which the numeral of identified result belongs. These numeral image data are displayed on the screen. The unequal type of numeral image considered as error is visually searched out of the same kind of displayed numeral image data and corrected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
