PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MRI neck coil which can receive the NMR signal from the neck of a subject with high sensitivity and also used for receipt of NMR signals from parts other than the neck. SOLUTION: A MRI neck coil 100 has a ring-like coil part 1, a tray part 2 for holding the coil part 1 in such a manner as to be attachable and detachable, a rail 3 for supporting the tray part 2 in such a manner as to be slidable on a cradle C, and a head rest 4 for placing the head of a subject thereon. When the NMR signal from the neck of the subject is received, the coil part 1 is installed to the tray part 2, and the tray part 2 is slid to put the coil part 1 around the neck of the subject. When the NMR signal from a part (shoulder, arm, leg or the like) other than the neck is received, the coil part 1 is removed from the tray part 2, and only the coil part 1 is fitted to the corresponding part. The use of the ring-like coil part enables a highly sensitive receipt. The separable coil part makes this neck coil usable for receipt of NMR signals from parts other than the neck.
