INFORMATION PROCESSOR AND SUSPEND/RESUME PROCESSING METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: To freely change-over data processing environment for restarting a data processing by controlling power source supply to respective devices based on the indication of an indicating means under the power source supply on-state from a main power source and saving and storing information stored in a memory medium by means of an auxiliary storage means. CONSTITUTION: The indication to reduce the power supply state as against the respective devices under the power source supply on-state from the main power source 6 is executed by a suspend/resume button 9 being the indicating means. Then, based on the indication of the suspend/resume button 9, power source supply to the respective devices is controlled by a power source control device 5. Information stored in the memory medium is respectively stored in the respective save areas 18-20 of the auxiliary storage device 4 by the key indication of a keyboard 8 and the suspend/resume button. Thus, data processing environment for restarting the data processing is freely changed-over.
