TAFT CARPET AND PRODUCT FORMED BY TAFT CARPET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a product backed with light flexible material with simple equipment and process by erecting pile on the obverse side of the ground fabric of nonwoven fabric and then by heating the ground fabric from the nonwoven fabric side to form a fusion layer of the fiber of the nonwoven fabric and by fixing the root of the pile yarn by the fusion layer. ;SOLUTION: Nonwoven fabric 13 mainly made of thermoplastic resin fiber is laminated on the back of carpet ground fabric 11 and pile yarn is made tafting from the laminated nonwoven fabric 13 side to erect pile 12 on the obverse side of the carpet ground fabric 11. The back of the nonwoven fabric 13 is heated and formed into an integrated fusion layer 14 made of the fused fiber of the nonwoven fabric 13. The root of pile yarn is also fixed by the fusion layer 14. A product is formed by a taft carpet 10 backed with light flexible material by this method with simple equipment and process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
