INK, RECORDING METHOD USING THE SAME AND INSTRUMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink for an ink jet recording, not forming a clogging, excellent in injection stability, capable of obtaining a uniform image on a common paper and good in water resistance of the recorded image. ;SOLUTION: This ink is obtained by dissolving or dispersing (A) a recording agent preferably consisting of a dye or a pigment containing an anionic surfactant, and (B) a succinylated carboxymethylchitosan of the formula having 5000-400000 (approximately 300000 is especially preferable) weight averaged molecular weight with (C) a liquid medium containing a polar organic solvent (and water). Further, pH of the ink is preferably 6-10. Also, the amount of usage of the component B is preferably the one to form ≤10cps viscosity of the ink, and is usually 0.001-5wt.% (0.001-1wt.% is especially preferable).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
