PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove limitation in the material used as an iron source for alloying present at the time of producing the conventional thin strip and to produce an Fe-B-Si-C amorphous alloy thin strip showing good characteristics even in the case an inexpensive iron source for alloying is used. ;SOLUTION: This inexpensive Fe-B-Si-C amorphous alloy thin strip has a compsn. using Fe as the base element, using B, Si and C as alloy composing elements and furthermore contg. 0.008 to 0.1% P, 0.15 to 0.5% Mn and 0.004 to 0.005% S. Thus, the use of the material of low quality is made possible as the alloy iron source in the Fe-B-Si-C amorphous thin strip, by which reduction in the alloy cost in the production of this thin strip is realized to inexpensively produce the thin strip.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
