SEED OIL EXTRACTED FROM JATROPHA MULTIFIDA LINNE AS EUPORBIACEAE PLANT, PREPARATION OF THIS SEED OIL, AND COSMETIC PREPARATION COMPRISING THIS SEED OIL AS EFFECTIVE COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seed oil contg. no glycproteins by treating with an absorbent an org. solvent extract obtd. from Jatropha multifida linne as a Euphorbiaceae plant. SOLUTION: Seeds of Jatropha multifida linne as a Euphorbiaceae plant are pulverized, and then admixed with an org. Solventsuch as n-hexane to be subjected to extraction at about 40 to 50 deg.C for about 1 hour. The resultant extract is conc. under reduced pressure while distilling the solvent off to obtain a seed oil. At least one absorbent selected from among activated clay, activated carbon, Al(OH)3 , etc., is added to the seed oil, which is than stirred under an N2 gas stream at about 40 to 50 deg.C, then cooled, and filtered to obtain a seed oil contg. no substantial toxic glycoproteins. Predetermined amts. of the refined seed oil, a higher alcohol such as centanol or oleyl alcohol, and a surfactant such as a polyoxyethylene higher alcohol ether are then mixed together, and admixed with hot purified water under heat and with stirring to effect emulsification, followed by cooling to obtain a cosmetic perpetration having a good protective effect, such as a hair treatment.
