METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING BLOCK RETAINING WALL, AND HOLLOW BOX-SHAPED CONCRETE BLOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for shell-filling concrete in constructing a block retaining wall. ;SOLUTION: In constructing a block retaining wall, foundation concrete 12 is placed and then hollow box-shaped concrete blocks A2 are placed adjacent and continuous with each other over the foundation concrete 12. Next, the upper block is stacked on top of the lower block in such a way that its position is displaced by 1/2 from that of the lower block. Partition plates C are inserted into the hollow part of each block up to the middle of the lower block, and shell-filling material 11 such as crushed stones is packed into spaces formed on both sides of each partition plate C, up to the upper end of the partition plate C, and is compacted.
