PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a poly(phenylene sulfide)/poly(phenylene ether) resin composition exhibiting the distribution form of an impact resistance improving agent so as to improve mechanical properties such as a characteristic for a notched Izot impact characteristic. ;SOLUTION: This composition containing an epoxy functional poly(phenylene sulfide)/poly(phenylene ether), an epoxy functional α-olefinic elastomer and an elastomeric block copolymer, contains the poly(phenylene ether) resin selected from a group consisting of a poly(phenylene ether) resin not made functional, a poly(phenylene ether) resin made functional and a mixture of these two resins, a poly(arylene sulfide) resin, the epoxy functional α-olefinic elastomer and the elastomeric block copolymer. The composition has a high stability in its phase form and is excellent in physical properties such as a ductility.
