AUTOMATIC EXPOSURE CONTROLLER OF TELEVISION CAMERA

PURPOSE: To provide the automatic exposure controller of a television camera which is capable of smoothly performing an exposure control by a simple circuitry. ;CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 16 generates first and second gate pulses based on the luminance of the digital video signal from a digital signal processing part 15 and outputs the pulses to gate circuits 19 and 20, respectively. The gate circuit 19 passes the reading pulse from a timing signal generator 17 and supplies the reading pulse of a 2-field period to a driving circuit 21 for the period of the high level of the first gate pulse. The gate circuit 20 passes the pulse from an adder 18 and supplies the pulse as an electric charge removal pulse to the driving circuit 21. Because exposure start timing is controlled by the electric charge removal pulse as for a solid-state image pickup element 11, exposure time for one-field or more can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
