PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect the humidity of the atmosphere near a condensation detecting surface by covering a moisture sensing element provided on a base mounted on the condensation detecting surface with a casing having a filter having air permeability and watertightness. ;SOLUTION: An air hole bored in the center part of a casing has a filter, and a material having air permeability and watertightness is used as the filter to allow only gas to pass. A control device 1 reads the data to the humidity and temperature of the circumferential atmosphere of a sensor 2 from the moisture and temperature sensing element of the sensor 2 and the electric resistance value in the moisture and temperature sensing element. According as which position the point determined by the humidity and temperature is situated at, the presence of condensation to a front glass is judged. When the presence of condensation is judged, a control signal is transmitted to a vehicle air conditioning equipment 5 to increase the driving rotating speed of a compressor, thereby, enhancing the dehumidifying performance in an evaporator for cooling and dehumidifying the passing air, or a damper within a unit is rotated to directly send air to the front glass.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
