METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROTECTING CABLES AND CONTROL DEVICE UNDER HIGH TEMPERATURE ATMOSPHERE AGAINST HIGH HEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect cables or the like connected to a device to be moved under a high temperature atmosphere against high heat by a method wherein cables or the like connected to the device moved under a high temperature atmosphere are passed or a flexible tube or a hose where cooling fluid is passed. ;SOLUTION: A control cable 12 connected to a control device and a power supply cable 13 for a moving vehicle or driving power for various kinds of devices mounted on moving vehicles are passed through a hose 8 connected to a compressor outside a furnace for use in feeding compressed air to an air cylinder and an air motor so as to enable the cables to be protected against a high temperature under a high temperature atmosphere. A water-proof connector 16 is mounted in an air box 15 connected to the hose 8, and the control cable 12 and the power supply cable 13 are connected to it. A nozzle for blowing discharged compressed air supplied to an actuator is arranged at a casing having the control device stored therein. Discharged air is blown against the control device in the casing so as to cool it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
