OPENING METER FOR GATE VALVE AND GATE VALVE WITH OPENING METER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening meter of excellent visibility in a simple construction by coaxially providing a first gear and a second gear respectively meshing with a pinion and having the same diameter and different number of teeth on the inner circumferential parts of a first ring and a second ring. ;SOLUTION: By rotating a valve stem 15 through a cap 21 at opening/closing a valve body, rotation of the cap 21 is transmitted to a rotor through connecting pins 22, and a pinion 17 fitted to the rotor 16 is rotated centering around the valve stem 15. The pinion 17 is rotated under the condition of meshing with the inner circumferences of a first gear 18 and a second gear 19. Hereby at making every round of the pinion 17, a second ring 14 is clockwise rotated against a first ring 13 by the difference of the number of teeth of the first gear 18 and the second gear 19. Consequently, by providing valve opening display parts on the outer circumferential parts of the first ring 13 and the second ring 14, corresponding to the full opened position and the full closed position of the valve body, the opening/closing state of the valve body can be confirmed only by observing the state of the valve opening display parts.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
