JOINT FOR COMPOSITE SEGMENT RECEIVING NEGATIVE BENDING MOMENT

PURPOSE: To connect composite segments together by alternately meshing the comb teeth-like projections of outside steel plates, and thrusting a long bolt into both bolt holes positioned coincidently in the axial direction. ;CONSTITUTION: An inside steel plate 6 and an outside steel plate 2 are arranged in parallel on the inner face and the outer face of a composite segment. A fold piece 7 is formed in the tunnel center direction at the end section of the inside steel plate 6. Multiple comb teeth-like projections 3 are formed in the direction-perpendicular to the tunnel axial direction at the end section of the outside steel plate 2, and a bolt hole 4 penetrating in the tunnel axial direction is provided nearly at the central position. Six comb teeth-like projections 3 in all are provided at the tip section of the outside steel plate 2, six comb teeth-like projections 3 are provided at the other tip section of the outside steel plate 2 at the meshing positions with the mating projections 3, and the outside steel plates 2 are alternately meshed with each other. End faces of placed concrete 11, 11 are closely stuck together, a long bolt 5 is thrust into the bolt holes 4 positioned coincidently, and both outside steel plates 2, 2 are connected together.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
