CONTACT VIBRATION SENSING AND PREVENTIVE METHOD FOR TURBINE ROTOR

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of contact while widening clearance, in case of contact by estimating a vibration position and the clearance in a vibration sensing and preventive method which vibration may be caused by contact of a turbine rotor with a static portion. ;CONSTITUTION: A vibration meter 2 senses vibrations from each position of a turbine rotor. A rotational pulse meter 7 senses rotational speed of the rotor. Both of them are input to a personal computer 3, and taken in as shaft vibration measurement data and operation condition data 11. Previously analyzed contact vibration analysis result database 9 and clearance analysis result database 10 are stored in a memory of the personal computer 3. When abnormal vibrations occur, the personal computer 3 collates measurement data 8 and the data 11 to the databases 9, 10, and determines whether contact vibration exists or not. When the vibration exists, a signal is sent to a controller 4 for controlling a valve 5 and flowing heated steam 20 or cooling air 21 to a piping 6. A car room 1 is heated for keeping clearance, and preventing occurrence of contact.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
