PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high availability and data compatibility by restoring sequence numbers remaining in a file after occurring a fault without being returned by the roll back of transaction and without being locked until committing after numbering at a system and restarting numbering from the sequence number larger than the sequence number finally returned to a job program. SOLUTION: A numbering mechanism actually executes job processing S4 to judge the existence of an error and when judging normal finish without an error S5, the numbering mechanism outputs a normal finish message S6 including this serial number to commit S7. On the other hand, at the time of judging the existence of an error and abnormal finish S5, the numbering mechanism outputs an abnormal finish message S8 including the serial number to roll back the serial number. A terminal operator judges whether a job he throws in himself is finished without abnormality by referring to the normal finish/ abnormal finish messages.
