LOW NOISE SHOE BODY FOR PANTOGRAPH OF HIGH SPEED TRAIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the aerodynamic noise generated from a shoe body of a pantograph as the speed of a train is increased. ;SOLUTION: A notch 13 is formed before and behind a shoe body 10 in the advancing direction. A plurality of notches 13 are provided in the width direction of the shoe body 10. The sectional shape of the shoe body 10 before forming the shoe body 10 is approximately elliptical, and an upper part on which a slider is mounted is flat, and changed in an approximately periodical manner by forming the notches 13. The aerodynamic noise caused by the vortices to be generated from the shoe body 10 in the air flow is not concentrated in the noise of specific frequency by the notches 13, and the noise can be reduced while excellent lift characteristic is kept.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
