PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid misunderstanding between a summarized fault content and fault detailed information by storing the fault detailed information on the occurrence of a fault and when the fault is not confirmed and editing the fault detailed information again with respect to new information when a fault detail request from a host station is replied. ;SOLUTION: Information (a) on the occurrence of a fault A is sent in response to a request from a host station and then the fault A is restored. Thus, on the occurrence of a fault B newly, the information is edited again and information (b) is sent in response to a request from the station. While a routine of occurrence of fault A →restoration → occurrence of fault B, when no detail information request is received from the host station but the request is made after the occurrence of the fault B, detailed information sets (a), (b) are generated. The handling of the information is as follows: The fault detailed information is not restored when it is once confirmed. The fault detailed information is not restored on the occurrence of a fault. When the fault detailed information is requested after the fault detailed information is confirmed and the fault is recovered, the fault detailed information is restored.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
