PURPOSE: To produce a rear surface photographing device to be used for a camera sorting machine of blocky vegetables and fruits by forming a transporting conveyor of a slit type conveyor formed of extremely fine cables and combining an upward camera covered with a reflection mirror therewith. ;CONSTITUTION: The divided right and left rear surfaces of the blocky vegetables and fruits A are photographed by a pair of the reflection mirrors 9, 9 which function as the first reflection mirrors disposed in the lower part on the outer right and left sides of the transporting plane 5 of the rear surface photographing device 10 when the blocky vegetables and fruits A arrive at the transporting plane 5. In such a case, the conveyor 1 is formed of the slits formed by using the extremely fine cables and, therefore, the divided right and left rear surfaces of the blocky vegetables and fruits A are photographed without concealing these surface. The images thereof are formed at the camera 6 for photographing the lower parts which is a color CCD camera existing right under a V-shaped reflection mirror 8 which reflects the images horizontally to an inner side by the refraction of the prescribed angle possessed by the reflection mirrors 9, 9 and functions as a second reflection mirror facing the lower part of the transporting plane 5 through this V-shaped reflection camera. The photographing is processed and the degrees of coloration, flaws, shapes, etc., are measured. Grades and classes are thus discriminated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
