PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide scissors equipped with a nipping member and used for high branches, capable of safely and surely exhibiting a nipping function required for cutting an article to be cut. SOLUTION: A nipping member 7 comprising a pair of fixed piece 5 and movable piece 6 wherein at least one of the pieces 5, 6 is formed from a plate spring is attached to scissors 4 comprising a fixed blade and a movable blade 3 and attached to the tip of a cylindrical long handle 1. The movable blade 3 is connected to an operation lever 8 disposed at the rear end of the cylindrical long handle 1 through a driving force-transmitting member 9 passed through the cylindrical long handle 1. Thus, the movable blade 3 can be operated by the opening or closing of the operation lever 8, and an article to be cut can elastically be nipped with the nipping member 7.
