PURPOSE: To obtain the subject needle capable of being used for producing blended materials having excellent dynamic and thermal characteristics by structuring an eye formed adjacently to the end of a thin long body portion as a closed ring extended on the outside of the body portion of the needle. CONSTITUTION: The eye 16 of the needle is formed in the inclined portion of the free end 14 of a fine and long body portion 10 in the shape of a ring 18 through which a cord, rove or thread 20 is passed. The front portion 34 of the ring 18 is placed on the extended line of the end portion 14, and the needle supports the cord, rove or thread 20 only with the ring forming the eye. The ring permits that the cord, rove or thread 20 has a radius of curvature fit to the characteristic dynamic characteristics of the cord, rove or thread 20, and can further protect the curved portion 21 of the cord, rove or thread 20.
