PURPOSE: To obtain a labeled pigment composed of a specific pentamethinecyanine derivative, having high sensitivity, insusceptible to impurities and useful for immunoassay, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: This labeled pigment is composed of a pentamethinecyanine derivative of formula I (R¹ to R⁴ are 1-6C lower alkyl; X is anion).
