PURPOSE: To securely prevent explosion when heating a gas in an incinerator, by forming a part or the whole of the movable part in the valve mechanism of a gas release valve with a shape memory material. ;CONSTITUTION: The valve stem 4, the coil spring 10 for pushing up the valve stem, the opening member 9 of the side hole of valve housing of the valve mechanism of a gas release valve which can be charged with gas, are formed with a shape memory material. It keeps a normal and static state at ordinary temperature and/or atmospheric pressure and the valve mechanism of the gas release valve is kept in the closed condition. At an abnormal temperature and/or an abnormal pressure, the gas release valve can be changed to the opened condition due to deformation of the shape memory material formed in the opening member 9 of the side hole of valve housing of the valve mechanism of and the coil spring 10 for pushing up the valve stem. When charging gas, the coil spring 10 for pushing up the valve stem and the opening member 9 of the side hole of valve housing in the movable part of the valve mechanism of the gas release valve in which gas can be charged, is deformed to the state in which gas can be charged.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
