DRIVER FOR AC SERVO MOTOR

PURPOSE: To provide a driver for variable-speed controlling either a permanent magnet type synchronous motor type servo motor or a squirrel-cage type induction motor type servo motor. CONSTITUTION: The driver 10 comprises a speed regulator 11, a pole calculating processor 12, a vector operator 13, a current regulator 14, a PWM inverter 15 and a switching actuator 16, wherein the processor 12 or the operator 13 is switched by the operations of switching circuits 16a, 16b of the actuator 16 to variable-speed control either a permanent magnet type synchronous motor type servo motor or a squirrel-cage type induction motor type servo motor so that the driver is commonly used.
