PURPOSE: To inexpensively and simply obtain a microorganism capable of efficiently eliminating a taste of an offensive smell in service water. ;CONSTITUTION: A method for multiplying a microorganism is to add camphor as an aerobic microorganism and to multiply and culture the microorganism capable of eliminating a taste of an offensive smell. The microorganism is obtained by the method. The microorganism capable of eliminating a taste of an offensive smell obtained from the aerobic microorganism by using camphor as a carbon source is separated and isolated, then multiplied and cultured and used as a method for removing a taste of an offensive smell in service water wherein 2-methylisoborneol, a substance of an offensive smell in service water, is removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
