PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method for lime in a sintering machine, in which the time of the lime on a sintering pallet is kept to an irreducible min. and the unit consumption of coke is reduced without hinderance to the permeability of the sintering. ;CONSTITUTION: Smoothening devices 28, 29 are arranged between an ignition device 15 and a recovering hood 21 on the downstream thereof, and the recovery optimum position for lime on the sintering pallet 1 varied by the change in blending ratio of the coke and the change in ignition calory in the ignition device 15, etc., is decided by continuously measuring the temp. of suction gas stream with a thermometer 22.
