PURPOSE:To carry out the stapling of sheets without need for changing the structure of a stapling means by providing a control means for switching over a sheet distributing means to a bin side at the time of carrying out a stapling operation in an unclassified condition of the sheets. CONSTITUTION:A control device has a control means 103 which is programmed so as to discharge sheets into a bin B which enables the stapling of the sheets even when the sheets are unclassified. At the time of selecting a staple nonsort mode, the control means 103 displaces a flapper 19 based on the signal from a button S13 to carry out control so that sheets are discharged out of a discharge port 16. Then the sheets are discharged from the discharge port 16 into a bin B which enables the stapling of the sheets, to carry out stapling.
