PURPOSE: To make it easy to confirm the pattern of a display plate by recognizing only the display plate at a display position. CONSTITUTION: The leaf type display mechanism supports plural display plates 22 supported rotatably around the outer periphery of a rotary drum 21. A stopper 23 locks the upper display plate 22 between a couple of upper and lower display plates 22 constituting the display surface at the display position. The rotary drum 21 is stopped at an optional position and then a pattern is displayed by a couple of upper and lower display plates 22 positioned at the display position. The shield mechanism 81 moves out to nearby the lower end of the lower display plate 22 positioned at the display position and covers the lower part from nearby the lower end of the display plate 22 when the rotary drum 21 is at a stop.
