PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an iron-based alloy having excellent corrosion and wear resistance by making the iron-based alloy constituted of Cr, B, Mn, Si, Mo, V, Nb, P, C, the balance Fe with inevitable impurities in a specific wt.%. ;SOLUTION: The iron based alloy comprises, by wt.% 20-36% Cr, 2,5-5% B, 0.5-3.2% Mn, 0.05-0.6% Si, 0.3-2.5% Mo, 0.05-0.3% V, 0.03-0.3% Nb, ≤0.5% P, ≤0.3% C, the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. A core-wore powder produced from this alloy is applied by thermal spraying or build-up welding to the surface of a various abrasion members. After slurry-coating with the powder produced from the alloy on a substrate, the slurry-coated mother substrate is heated with a induction heater or an electric furnace and is cut by pressing, and the cut material is applied for shaping by rolling. A material having a stable and excellent toughness structure is provided by this method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
