PURPOSE:To automatically carryout copying without the copying trouble even if each direction of an original and a copying paper sheet deflects, by shifting the original on an original copying position surface through a spherical roller and installing the first and second driving means for revolving the original on the original copying position surface. CONSTITUTION:During the transport in an original transport cover 16 as transport passage, a spherical roller 24 is revolved by driving the first driving means 26, and positioning is performed by shifting an original 20 along the transport direction on a copying positioning surface. In this case, if the direction of the original 20 deflects from the direction of a cassette 14 for the copying paper, the spherical roller 24 is rolled by driving the second driving means 28, and the original 20 is direction-changed by 90 deg. on the original copying position surface through the spherical roller 24, and the angle is changed, and copying is carried out. Therefore, even if each direction of the both 20 and 14 deflects, the copying trouble is not generated, and automatic copying is permitted.
