PURPOSE: To orient the flow of feed inside a feed conveyer and to control the flow rate of feed by operating a take-in cup to guarantee a proper feed level inside the feed conveyer and preventing a feed trough from being too much filled. CONSTITUTION: Take-in cup systems 56 and 58 are provided for orienting and quantitatively supplying feed inside an automatic feeder 10 having feed conveyers 42 and 44 provided with mobile spiral conveying elements 30 and 32 and feed supply guides 52 and 54. In such a cup system, a main body 60 of cup is provided for receiving the feed from the guides 52 and 54 and moving the elements 30 and 32 into and out of take-in cups. Besides, an open sleeve means 74 is arranged while having limit hole 76 for surrounding parts of elements 30 and 32 for preventing the feed conveyers from being too much filled. Further, this system is provided with a deflecting means 86 for preventing the force of feed weight from being directly loaded to the elements 30 and 32, distributing means 88 for quantitatively supplying the feed into the elements 30 and 32, and limiting means 104 for preventing the generation of unsuitable feed level.
